Maps of Sea Surface Temperature (SST) data for 2012, averaged by season (a) spring (March-May) and (b) autumn (September-November). Black dots represent recording sites 2–9 as analyzed in this study (see overview map in Figure 2) and dotted lines show hypothetical migration pathways based on frequencies of acoustic detections at different recording sites. For sea surface temperature (SST) raster generation, daily, 1 km resolution, level 4 GHRSST data were downloaded and aggregated into monthly climatological SST rasters using the Marine Geospatial Ecology Tools (MGET) [72].
