Top left: the shoulder features are altered by varying \(\tau _D = 0.25\) s (red), 0.5 s (black), 1.00 s (blue). Top right: the shoulders are displaced according to the driving force \(v_0 = 4.5\) cm/s (red), 6.5 cm/s (black) and 8.5 cm/s (blue). Bottom left: changing \(\sigma _L = 1\) cm/s (red), \(\sigma _L = 1.5\) cm/s (black) and \(\sigma _L = 2\) cm/s (blue) has a similar effect to varying \(\tau _D\). Bottom right: Changing \(\sigma _T = 0.5\) cm/s (red), 1.0 cm/s (black) and 1.5 cm/s (blue) has little effect on the shoulders but affects the central peak
