Each point represents the mean values of movements initiated and survey relative abundances for a site (Additional file 1: Table S4; n = 65). Error bars denote one standard error for the transformed number of emigrations or survey abundance for each site over the sampling period. The significant, positive relationship between these variables indicates that Grass Pickerel are more likely to emigrate from sites with high survey abundances
