Each color polygon represents an individual tortoise that was tracked during the entire active season (April–October) of 2018. Home ranges of tortoises in the Nipton plot (a) often had boundaries corresponding to the paved road, while the same was not generally true for dirt roads in the Sheep Mountain plot (b). Home ranges of tortoises in the mountain pass plots often included areas of lower movement quality (c & d).
