  1. Binary logistic regression models were run without and with uric acid concentration (UA) as a covariate, and, for song thrush, without and with the unsaturation index (UI) as a covariate. Due to plasma volume limitation, in case of the northern wheatears sample size decreased by one in the latter analysis. Unstandardized coefficients (β) with standard error (SE) and the Wald statistic (W) are presented
