Location of individual receivers in the Dungonab Bay and Mukkawar Island National Park acoustic array in Dungonab Bay, Sudan used to detect tagged Mobula alfredi. All receivers were placed a minimum distance of one kilometer apart. The two furthest receivers (N1 and S3) were ~ 29 km apart. White lines indicate the border of the MPA. Color coding is based on the geographic position of the receivers as described in the methods: (i) CH = Channel (reds); (ii) C = Central (greens); (iii) W = West (blues); (iv) S = South (purples); (v) N = North (pink)
