Migratory route and key staging areas of 16 satellite-tracked Demoiselle cranes. Green triangles indicate two mountain ranges on the Tibetan Plateau, i.e. Gar Kangri and Medu-Kun, through which the cranes migrated. Green areas indicate commonly used staging sites, and grey shading elevations in excess of 2000 m above mean sea level. Map was produced using ArcGIS v 10.5, using WGS 1984 World Mercator projection
